October 2026 

District 1 Councilmember Rosemary Kamei has pledged to plant 50,000 daffodils in District 1 of San Jose in partnership with Beautify SJ in celebration of the Nation’s 250th Anniversary. 

We're planning community daffodil bulb planting events at Murdock Park and Rainbow Park in your neighborhood. Beautify SJ will provide the bulbs and all necessary gardening materials. We hope to plant the daffodils with the help of community members around the month of October/November.

The proposed dates are:

• Murdock Park: Saturday, 10/03 1:00-2:30pm

• Rainbow Park: Sunday, 10/04 1:00-2:30pm
